Wednesday 22nd OCTOBER 2014
Christmas is approaching and we have been thinking about Christmas cards, much too early I hear you say! This week your child has been designing their very own Christmas Cards, this will be sent home to you and if you would like this picture to be made into a card please complete the order form (sent home to you) stating what size you would like and in what quantity.
The picture must be returned by Tuesday 21st October together with the payment.
The artwork is then sent away to be printed and when the card is returned it will have a Christmas message (please indicate on order form) inside and your child's name on the back. If you have younger (or indeed older) children who do not come to this school and would like to draw a card this is acceptable but they must use an A4 piece of paper and you will need to get a form from the school office to attach to the artwork. You are welcome to tidy up the picture by going round the edges with a pen but please do not add any glitter or any other materials as this will not go through the scanner.
The cost for a pack of twelve cards and envelopes is £6 for A6 size (standard). Please see order form for more prices and special offers. This year we are also offering the opportunity for Gift Tags to also be made with your child’s Christmas design on.
Please complete the order form indicating the quantity of cards and/or gift tags that you require and the Christmas Message that you would like inside the card. Please send in cash or cheques payable to Friends of Shaw in a sealed envelope, together with your child's Artwork and order form.
All artwork and orders must be back in School by Tuesday 21st October so they can be sent to the printers and returned to school on time.
Friends of Shaw
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us in the classroom and/or by helping us to organise events and fundraising activities at Shaw. We appreciate that everyone has extremely busy lives, but if you have a few hours to spare you can help us make a BIG difference to the lives of our children and their families.
The Friends of Shaw meets once every half-term to help the school organise events and fundraising activities. Previously these have included: Inflatables Day, Christmas Bazaar, School Discos, Pamper Evenings and Quiz Nights etc.
These meetings become more regular if we are preparing for an event, however we appreciate that not everyone will be able to attend every meeting. Alternatively, if you would just like to help out on an ad-hoc basis we would appreciate this too.
If you would like to become a member please contact Miss Arnott
