Welcome to Year 3! 

Summer Term! 

It is the Summer term in Year 3 and we have just started our new Topic unit of the Romans! We will be looking at the history of the time period as well as the geographical features of the country. We are looking forward to jam packed term with lots of new and exciting learning. Our outdoor PE is on a Wednesday and indoor PE is on a Thursday. Keep an eye out for what we get up to in class.

Anti Bullying/Kindness Week - Odd Sock Day! 

On Monday, we took park in first day of anti bullying week by wearing odd socks to school. No matter what colour, size or shapes on our socks, it represented how we are all different! Take a look at our pictures to see all of our different socks! 

Science

We have a new and exciting unit of Forces this term and to start the unit off, we decided to use the push force to have a Malteser race with a scrumptious ending. Take a look, we had a lot of fun testing out our forces.

Ancient Egypt- Mummification! 

As part of our Topic lesson, we learnt about the process of mummification. Once the children had developed their knowledge of the process, they then turned a member of the class into a Mummy! Take a look at the pictures below. 

Children in Need 2021! 

We celebrated Children in Need day by wearing pyjamas to school! Thank you to everyone that participated and joined in, take a look at the pictures to see our comfy, cosy pjs! 

ERNIE THE ELF! 

Here in 3G, we have been visited by a naughty elf called Ernie! He hid himself inside a jar this morning and came with a letter to tell us all about his upcoming mischief and to keep an eye on our behaviour! Keep an eye on our page and see what he gets up to!

Our Local Walk! 

We recently went on a lovely walk around the local area. We looked at our surroundings and developed the skill of following a map along the way. We had such a good time and enjoyed waving at the lorry drivers who were stuck in a bit of traffic! 

Friday 4th February 2022 - World Book Day! 

In 3G, we took part in World Book Day dress up and came to school dressed as our favourite book characters! We had a range of characters from Gangsta Granny, a bunny rabbit, Cinderella to Wimpy Kid! 

KidzFit Health and Fitness Workshop 

Last week, we took part in a exciting and fun workshop where the children learnt more about health and fitness in their bodies. They tested their strength, agility, balance, core strength and raced against the clock to hula hoop with extra large hula hoops! Take a look at the pictures and videos of what we got up to. 

Roman Soldier Art Project.

As part of our Art this term, we have been looking at junk modelling and how to use different materials effectively and choosing as a team what items would be best for each part of a Roman soldier, which links perfectly to our Topic unit.
