Mobile Phone Policy

Parents SHOULD NOT allow their children to bring phones in to school if they are being dropped off and collected by an adult. Having a phone in school when there is no need in terms of pupil safety, is unnecessary.

If your child travels to and from school alone and you wish them to have a phone for safety reasons, please send a small labelled plastic bag, e.g. a zip lock sandwich bag, so that the phone can be safely stored alongside other phones in the school office. Children bringing phones to school should not bring them directly to the office, but should instead hand them to their teacher, who will ensure phones are taken to the office by a member of staff.

Parents are also asked to refrain from using their own mobile phones on site except in emergency situations.

Please note that this request is in line with our Safeguarding procedures.
