I hope you had a great spring time break, we are very excited for the summer term.

Show and Tell - WEDNESDAY

 

Please ensure that Show and Tell is something that your child has made,

drawn, or experienced (photos etc...) NO TOYS PLEASE

We are becoming independent learners by choosing our own activities and learning, and also how to put on our own coats and shoes. 

 

Please ensure that your child has appropriate clothing for the weather e.g. coats and wellies, as they have access to the outdoor area for most of the day.

 

Also, a small book bag is useful for bringing home reading books,

letters and drawings etc.

 

Reading at Home

Children bring home at least one reading book per week, and have a yellow reading diary.  Please record when your child has read at home in here and you may wish to add some details of any progress they may have made with you.

We learn a new sound every day.

Our sounds this week are:

Pie Corbett stories 

In class we "Pie Corbett" stories.  We read the story together on a daily basis using actions.  This encourages children to develop a love of reading and to develop an understanding of stories and to develop their story telling skills.    We are currently learning "The Three Bears".  Please see below for the story.
