Last week, our school took part in a TT Rockstars competition where we competed with 6 other schools. I am proud to announce that we have placed first in the competition with a member of our class being the 2nd most valuable player. Well Done Persis! Remember guys, you can log on at anytime and practice your times tables and prepare for our next competition! Congratulations 4G, keep up the good work!
Well Done to Koren who has been experimenting with different objects in his house to recreate a rainbow for our rainbow art challenge of the week as part as Art! Karen has used his artistic skills to find things around his home that represent different stages of the rainbow. Fantastic, good work Koren!
Well done to Samuel who has been very busy creating his own representation of the water cycle. He looks like he spent quite a lot of time making this and using different materials. Learning the water cycle song as part of Topic this term has obviously inspired and helped Samuel to create this piece of work and it is absolutely fabulous. Well Done Samuel!

Mental Health Awareness Week

As part of mental health awareness week, the children have been participating in a number of activities and as a class we discussed the benefits of taking a break from our busy days to give our mind some time. Here are some pictures of our class meditating before the end of the day to calm our minds.

Topic - Water.

During Spring Term, we have been developing our knowledge of water and how water around us can affect our lives. We have recently been learning about the water cycle. Here is a catchy song which helped the children understand the cycle!

Our most recent unit in English was Instruction Texts. The children had a fabulous week full of exciting activities that involved reading, writing and following a set of instructions. Day 1, we wrote a set of instructions for baking cupcakes.  Day 2, we followed a set of instructions for an in school treasure hunt (where we had to use trundle wheels for measurements). Day 3, we followed our written set of instructions to bake our very own cupcakes!
