Summer 1

We began this term by delving into the world of superheroes, Reading a variety of texts includingSuper Daisy and Superhero ABC  we have learnt adjectives, antonyms and punctuation and produced our own comic strips based on invented superheroes.

We are now on our new unit: traditional tales, so far we have read Cinderella and Snow White. We will be continuing this unit after half term with more traditional tales!

Spring 2

We have been reading a range of funny poems and tongue twisters, looking at the rhyming words and the alliteration. We practised until we could say them quickly - can you say them without making any mistakes?

We are also reading some funny stories about animals, and writing book reviews to show what we liked about our favourite book and why.

At the end of the unit children will create their own funny animal story.

We will also be using our voices effectively to perform We're Going on a Lion Hunt as a class. At the end of the unit the children will create their own story based on these books.
