The Spring term is progressing well and we are enjoying our journey around the world. Geographically, that is. This term our focus is on world geography skills, we are learning about the continents and ocean; time zones and tropics; flags and buildings. after half term, we will being investigating the Americans and carrying out a creative project to link our learning together. The children are also very excited about the trip to Wat Tyler Park, where they will get to put their new skills to the test.

Outdoor PE has moved to Monday's and we have coach Aaron teaching us American Football. We are improving our speeds and accuracy. Hopefully it will warm up and we can ditch the jogging bottoms. Although the children are very warm by end of the warm-up, let alone the end of the lesson.

Another change, this term, is to the music lessons. Mrs Halliday was lucky enough to find an excellent job, but so the children do not miss out on learning an instrument, they are bucket drumming with Mrs Elisdon.

This term is also full of exciting workshops, such as:

  • poetry
  • first aid
  • e-safety
  • storytelling
