Computing - Kodu Programming.

Each week, we have been building on a new skill in order to make a race track on Kodu and create a code to make a character to move in a specific way around a race track. Take a look at our learning so far.

English: Here are some of our final poems from our English poetry unit- Black Lives Matter. In these poems, we were trying to create imagery by using figurative language when discussing the theme of racism and putting a stop to this. Take a read!

In Computing, we are learning how to program using the software Kodu. We learnt the When and Do functions this week and programmed our character to move and eat apples!

In DT, we are exploring freestanding structures and how they need to be stable. We had a competition to see who could make the tallest and most stable structure to kick start our unit- take a look!

Science: Here we are during our heart rate investigation where we were performing a range of high intensity exercises and then measuring our heart rate to see if this is affected.

PE: Check us out vaulting in gymnastics!

Art: We have created some of our own artwork inspired by a range of Southern and Central American artists that we have been looking at. Check out our portraits inspired by Freda Khalo, our puzzle pictures inspired by Torres Garcia and our geometric collages inspired by Beartrize Milihaze.
